Field trip for student gardeners

Students from Christian Park Elementary relished a surprisingly snowy tour of the Broad Ripple Park Pollinator Gardener as Master Gardener Mary Durkin identified the plants and described how each benefits our buzzier friends. It was a particularly relevant visit because the students enjoy a salamander rain garden at their school.

Afterward, the students hiked in the 10 Acre Woods before being treated to a warm fire and s’mores courtesy of some generous park neighbors.
